SAD can be a definite problem that you face every year, but this doesn't need to be inevitable. Back in 1984, a psychiatrist published a paper
dealing with the effects of brilliant light therapy on folks who suffer through SAD. Subsequent examination has solidified the fact that the the
use of intense lights on those who suffer from this disorder have improvement in their lives. This treatment has even has an effect on people who
are experiencing depression.

more light sensitive than most. Average people might be able to get sufficient exposure to light through indoor lighting, but indoor lighting
might actually be too weak to be effective on people who have problems with SAD. Similarly, a lack of light can mean that the brain processes
that stimulate seratonin and dopamine secretion are diminished, something which can certainly affect mood.
Another theory behind light's effect is that it can help with a patient's circadian rhythms. Exposure to bright light therapy can help a
person's hormonal system figure out when they ought to be awake. Are you familiar with how hung over you will feel when didn't get enough sleep?
Some psychiatrists believe that Seasonal Affective Disorder is partially related to your body responding as if it does not get enough hours of
sleep and therefore, you feel ill at ease. The use of intense light can help your body to wake up and become more alert in general.

ancient prophecy: "The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is
sprung up." Baseley
